POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES DURING INSTALLATION

The tongues have expanded, making end matching assembly more  difficult with some boards. During installation, the tongues of boards may be damaged by too much pressure or by repeated blows of the hammer to boards.

·Board width has changed, but not necessarily in uniform fashion, which makes it difficult to align the rows of boards correctly. Some  boards even appear to be slightly thicker than others**.

CONSEQUENCES FOLLOWING INSTALLATION
·The boards return to their 7% MC and dimensions, and gaps begin to appear between the rows of boards.
·Variations in height should return to normal on their own.

SCENARIO 2
Delivery takes place in the Fall. The heating, in operation for the past few days, has reduced the relative humidity to 25% and the house is not equipped with a humidifier. The wood adjusts in the vacated house for two weeks prior to installation. Its MC is 5.4%.

POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES DURING INSTALLATION
·The boards have contracted a great deal, but not necessarily in uniform fashion. the boards are no longer exactly the same width.

POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES DURING INSTALLATION
·With renovations to the houses completed, life returns to  normal, which means that laundry, showers, cooking, etc.,  and the level of humidity also return to normal. The boards  regain their 7% MC and initial dimensions. They begin to exert  pressure on one another and the expansion joints along the  walls become completely filled.

·The floor begins to buckle and some boards with previously  hidden structural weaknesses begin to crack.
