MELROSE™ Prefinished
Hardwood Flooring is renowned for having the smallest micro-bevel
joint in the industry. This provides a consistently tight-fitting
product, and ensures the smoothest surface on the market.
What is RSO 2000?
This designation underscores the sophisticated manufacturing process
that yields the finest hardwood floors on the market. It is our
standard and the key to our success.
The techniques involved in the development of our Melrose™
Heritage Collection and the Titaniumized
Gator Coat™ process are achieved through eight
stages that ultimately guarantee a consistently high quality, and
extremely durable product.

How did we achieve this?
|
STAGE 1
|
The highest quality Northern
Hardwoods are carefully selected for colour consistency and
length. |
STAGE 2 |
Material is then kiln dried
to exacting standards, surpassing industry specifications. |
STAGE 3 |
The dried material is sorted
in environmentally controlled warehouses to ensure dimensional
integrity |
STAGE 4 |
Planks are machined with extreme
precision (within .005") to guarantee straightness and
consistent sizing. |
STAGE 5
|
Milling of material is further
enhanced by accurate working of the tongue and groove, your
assurance of a tight fit and easy installation. |
STAGE 6
|
We hold the distinction of having
the smallest micro bevel and the smoothest surface in the
industry. This is achieved by panelizing our products prior
to sanding. |
STAGE 7
|
Multiple coats of ultraviolet
cured polyurethane are applied using the Titaniumized Gator
Coat™ process. Abrasion analysis (Taber
tests) on this finish have proven that it outperforms all
other competitors by a wide margin. |
STAGE 8 |
Stringent quality control measures
are adhered to, at every stage of manufacturing. Our production
methods, dedication to consistency and precision will give
you peace of mind in choosing our product. |
